Jicmail has announced the appointment of two new board members: Denise Turner, research director at the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA), and Adam Crow, partner and head of publishing UK at EssenceMediacom.

Jicmail said both bring significant experience from the agency side of the industry and will help guide its strategy as it continues to provide trusted data and insight on how people interact with mail in the home.

Mark Cross, engagement director at Jicmail, said: “We are thrilled to have both Denise and Adam join the board to help steer and guide us into a future where gold standard data such as Jicmail is more important than ever and which provides the industry with trusted, transparent and accountable data, in our case for mail, to thrive in a digitally connected world.”

Chris Combemale, chair of Jicmail and director of policy and public affairs at the DMA, added: “Denise and Adam will bring amazing insight, passion and experience to the JICMAIL board. Their wealth of knowledge will help drive the next stage of Jicmail’s evolution to increase our influence and help advertisers take advantage of the unique properties of mail as a super touchpoint in customer engagement.”

Denise Turner commented: “Robust measurement is at the heart of understanding what works, what doesn’t and why. As new methodologies come into play, they open up deeper insights into our audiences, and that leads to smarter decisions and a greater impact across the industry.”

Adam Crow said: “Jicmail’s data is a vital resource for advertisers and agencies who want to understand and prove the value of mail in today’s media mix. I look forward to working with the board to champion robust measurement and help ensure mail continues to play a powerful role in integrated campaigns.”

Ms Turner succeeds Belinda Beeftink, while Mr Crow replaces Mike Colling, who steps down after ten years of service as one of Jicmail’s founding board members.
