UK-based online printing company Printed.com has launched its services in the United States, marking a significant milestone in its international growth strategy. The move follows an investment of more than £1 million in new technology and the addition of a third production facility earlier this year.
Founded in 2011, the company has built a strong reputation in the UK, and with international traffic now accounting for over 2% of total visits, it is extending its reach across all 50 states. Printed.com’s first US platform offers over 50 products, including business cards, brochures, flyers, and wedding stationery, covering around 70% of its UK product line. The company is partnering with US production houses to ensure quality standards are maintained, supported by rigorous quality control processes.
CEO Rob Haycock said: “Launching in the US marks an exciting milestone for Printed.com. After years of refining our print platform and integration tools, we’ve developed robust support for multi-tenancy and multi-currency. This has allowed us to roll out our Printed.com US-specific ecommerce offering in record time.”
Simon Dunn, managing director, added: “Our goal is to become one of the leading printing partners for small businesses and wedding customers across the US, utilising the skills and experience gained from over 10 years of ecommerce web-print experience and almost 40 years of print heritage. We’ve long believed that our brand and approach will resonate internationally and can’t wait to bring it to the American market.”
To support its expansion, Printed.com is working with top-tier courier services to offer flexible shipping across the country. The company will also provide white label packaging and continue its commitment to reducing plastic in its packaging. Longer-term plans include establishing a US-based workforce in 2026 to support localised product offerings.
Marketing and product director Chris McShane said: “We’re delighted to support the retail, hospitality, small business sectors, and designers, as well as direct consumers, with our US launch. These vibrant industries thrive on impactful print – whether it’s striking signage, beautifully designed menus and marketing materials, or elegantly crafted wedding stationery. Our mission is to help everyone, from entrepreneurs to couples, bring their visions to life.”
The company’s technology platform underpins the US rollout, offering streamlined ordering, artwork editing tools, real-time pricing and transparent delivery tracking.
