Aidemar, the Association for the Integration of People with Disabilities in the Mar Menor region of Spain, has installed 12 Fujifilm Apeos multifunction printers. The investment is intended to improve document workflows, security, and efficiency across its network of support centres.
Delivered by Fujifilm’s long-standing Spanish partner Tecnicas de Impresion Printtec, each of Aidemar’s facilities now has its own Apeos C2560 device. The machines will supporting daily educational and therapeutic programmes for over 700 service users, the organisation said.
Founded in 1982, Aidemar operates centres across Murcia and Valencia and employs more than 600 staff. The organisation relies on printed materials such as worksheets and classroom resources alongside digital systems. According to director Miguel Andreu, reliability was a key factor in the decision: “Our priority is ensuring that each centre can operate independently, with its own dedicated printer to prepare the materials needed by educators and care teams. We don’t use the machines in an especially technical or high-volume way, but they need to work, and work reliably.”
Aidemar also faced increasing demands around data protection, with staff regularly handling sensitive personal information. The Apeos devices enable secure logins for each employee, making every print job traceable and improving visibility of print volumes and billing. “In previous contracts, we didn’t have this visibility. Now, from day one, we’re in control,” Mr Andreu said.
Printtec’s recommendation to move to Fujifilm equipment was accepted as part of a routine contract renewal, with installation and training carried out smoothly by Printtec and Aidemar’s IT team. Staff were shown how to manage basic issues independently, further improving efficiency.
Sustainability was also a consideration, with Fujifilm’s toner and energy-saving technology contributing to reduced waste and lower environmental impact. “We’re always looking for ways to reduce energy and resource use across the organisation,” Mr Andreu noted.
Reflecting on the relationship, Mr Andreu added: “Absolutely reliable, a committed partner. They support our association in meaningful ways, including events and community initiatives. Without a doubt, I would recommend Fujifilm printers to other organisations.”
Fujifilm’s Alex Castellví and Printtec’s Juan Guillen both underlined their commitment to supporting Aidemar’s future growth and technological development. “This is the beginning of a relationship that will last for a long time,” said Mr Castellvi, with Mr Guillen adding: “Our relationship goes beyond supply: it involves commitment, proximity and customised solutions.”
