Fujifilm Europe has unveiled Revoria XMF PressReady Lite, a streamlined workflow software tailored specifically for small print businesses at the company’s POD Partner Conference in Madrid.

Building on the success of its original XMF PressReady solution, which was introduced in 2023, the “Lite” version was developed in response to the needs of businesses operating just one or two print-on-demand presses. While the full version of PressReady supports integration with MIS and web-to-print systems and can manage production across multiple devices, smaller operations often require a simpler, more affordable solution.

John Davies, workflow product group manager at Fujifilm EMEA, described PressReady Lite as a “productivity pack” designed to complement the Revoria Flow DFE. “It enables small businesses to fix PDF files and create automated workflows to group jobs intelligently for printing,” he explained. This includes batching jobs that use the same toner or media, reducing setup time and minimising manual intervention.

The software-only solution is compatible with Fujifilm’s Revoria SC285, EC2100, and PC1120 models, and can be installed directly onto a Revoria Flow server. With features designed to simplify and automate production for single-press environments, PressReady Lite offers a cost-effective entry into workflow automation.

Mr Davies added: “We’re proud to offer a solution that allows even the smallest print companies to enhance productivity and reduce human error through smart automation.”

Fujifilm has also added white and silver toners for its new Revoria SC285S and Revoria EC2100S presses. The new colours join three special toners pink, clear, and toner for textured stock – which were launched alongside the presses in January this year

Mark Lawn, head of POD solutions at Fujifilm EMEA, commented: “White toner opens up a huge range of exciting possibilities for printing to transparent media, or to darker paper and board. While silver toner, aside from producing eye-catching visual effects, can also be mixed with other colours to produce a stunning range of new colours.”

The company has also revealed the GP (Graphic Print) Controller D02, a new feature to further optimise both image quality, and device performance in the ApeosPro C Series of toner presses. Featuring 1200 × 1200dpi high-resolution RIP processing, and 10-bit depth, the GP Controller ensures “beautifully” reproduced text, thin lines, and gradations. Meanwhile 3D calibration allows for colour adjustment, not only of CMYK single colours, but also for mixed colours. The company added that as well as enhancing quality, the GP Controller also boosts productivity, with a heavy-duty RIP function that features high-speed processing for high quality or variable data print jobs.
