Dutch printer developer Bergstein’s BE HS1 industrial colour inkjet line is now available in the UK through Kaye-Dee Marking Solutions in Sheffield.
It’s a high speed system that can print onto a range of solid objects that pass under the heads on a conveyor. Automatic detectors ensure that the print registers onto the items correctly. There’s a choice of CMYK or CMYK plus white configurations.
The BE HS1 was demonstrated at drupa in May on the INX stand, where it was shown printing onto flat plastic tiles such as fridge magnets and badges.
Kay-Dee said that the system can be configured to customers’ own production requirements and can be built with inline pre-treatment of their choice. ‘Quick and easy changeover of the print image by remote computers avoids the need for operators to be involved when the image changes,’ it added. It is also possible to fit a vision inspection system with a reject unloading station if required.
