Four years after buying its first digital press, Kingfisher Press in Bury St Edmunds has upgraded, taking an 80 page per minute Xerox DocuColor 8080. It says the new press – supplied by Fujifilm – provides improved quality and efficiency.

Managing director Paul Tomlin said digital had proven to be an invaluable addition to the company’s litho capability, and had opened up new revenue streams. The DocuColor 8080 should enhance this further. He said, ‘While we have always been able to offer personalised direct mail, the DocuColor 8080 and Freeflow work system produces projects with ease, integrating personalisation details with precision and efficiency, while ensuring accuracy and repeatability with colour. We have big investment plans for 2013/14 and digital print plays a big part.’
