A new range of pre-packaged templating products for digital press users has been launched.
The product, called HeyPressGo!, enables anyone with a digital printing press to offer pre-die cut products or goalpost glued mailers to clients who seek smaller runs without costing too much.
The idea was developed by managing director Peter Melkowski of Print Solutions Print Finishers in Peterborough, who saw potential by preparing pre-cut and pre-glued SRA3 sheets for commonly requested items such as tent cards, presentation folders, surveys and mailers.
‘The concept is not new,’ Mr Melkowski said. ‘I started by developing the products my clients wanted into a more standard format which meant the process of producing what originally had been a complicated affair became simplified.’
He added, ‘All I have done is reverse the production process by pre-cutting or gluing virgin stock which the printer places straight into the digital press, they simply position their artwork, print, trim in the normal way and ‘HeyPressGo!’ the job is done!’
The products have led to the formation of HeyPressGo Products Ltd, which will market and sell the items both online and through approved networks. ‘HeyPressGo may be in its infancy but it intends to roll out new products on a regular basis’, Mr Melkowski explained ‘We actively welcome new ideas to develop further, this will enable us to keep our clients up to date with market trends, we also hope to offer a good selection of general print room consumables too, so getting to know us will be a key advantage in the production cycle.’
