Another first has been set in South Yorkshire, as John Brailsford Printers installs the Uchida Aerocut slitter and creaser in its on-demand finishing department.
The machine will complement a busy same-day printing service offered by the company, slitting business cards and cutting small quantity boards and papers that were blocking up the printer’s busy guillotines.
The machine was purchased at Northprint and has become an instant success with the employees.
‘It’s so easy to set up and within just a few seconds we’ve changed formats, added a crease or set up a perforation, even for run lengths as few as one and without a single sheet waste,’ said director John Brailsford.
