Frimpeks, a global manufacturer of self-adhesive laminates, inks, wood coatings and digital media has set up shop here in the UK by opening a plant in Saxmundham, Suffolk.
The specialist self-adhesive laminate plant employing 20 UK employees has commissioned a new 1500 mm Pagendarm acrylic coating line capable of producing a range of adhesives from standard permanents through to deep freeze, removables and super peel.
The UK plant adds another dimension to the company’s global portfolio and complements the two ‘hot melt’ coater and laminating lines at the Remscheid site in Germany. Between them, the two sites are capable of supplying the full range of self-adhesive laminates to the North European market and beyond.
Group managing director, Emre Sayer, commented, ‘Frimpeks is a dynamic and fast paced business. We pride ourselves on the knowledge bank and skills of our people in order to provide added value to our customers day in, day out. Our new UK operation will provide more products, capacity and flexibility for European label converters.’
The two plants will stock their own materials meaning that most products, be they hot melt or acrylic adhesive, will be available on a short lead-time to further enhance the service and support levels.
