Canon UK today announced international architectural practice, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners (RSHP) is the first global customer to purchase the Océ ColorWave 910; one of the fastest wide format printers available in today’s market.
The new addition of Canon’s Océ ColorWave 910 will ensure RSHP will be able to guarantee all technical documents, graphics and designs are produced with precision, enabling it to scale up its print capabilities and deliver printed materials to the highest possible standards.
Lorenz Frenzen, associate, Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, said, ‘As we moved our firm to the Leadenhall Building in the City of London, we reviewed all practices and processes to ensure we have the right solutions in place to support our business growth. When it came to looking at print we considered other high volume colour options, but Canon’s Océ ColorWave 910 was the stand out choice for modernising our printing department. The system not only provides technology that prints quality materials at speed and in high volume, but also comes with Canon’s support infrastructure that will keep our mission critical printing operations up and running with minimal down-time.’
Duncan Smith, Wide Format Printing Group director for Canon UK, said, ‘Canon has worked with architectural practices for over two decades and we will be bringing all of our expertise in this high volume, demanding and competitive market to bear in this relationship with Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. Architectural firms are producing ever-more daring, challenging complex designs and print operations have to keep pace and rise to the challenge. We will be working with RSHP to ensure its printing systems are a differentiating factor in its business. We will provide RSHP with the printing volume and speed it needs to support its pioneering business.’
Mr Frenzen said, ‘Our business has grown over the last decade and Canon has provided us with the print technology and services that have supported that growth.’
