The Canon imagePRESS C10000VP offers 2400 x 2400 dpi print resolution.

Canon UK has made the first worldwide sale of its recently launched imagePRESS C10000VP to personalised print company Latent Light.

Ranging from consumers to art galleries, Latent Light’s clients are diverse meaning it is essential all images are of the highest quality whether printed on paper stock, canvas or other materials. The investment in Canon’s latest colour digital print engine will enable the company to print high quality images at speeds of up to 100 pages per minute.

The engine will initially be used to produce high end printed materials, including photobooks for its customers. Founder, Adam Gildersleeve, said, ‘Many of our customers order prints of special moments so we need to be sure what they receive has a real wow factor. We brought print in-house over a decade ago to control the quality of our output. With the new C10000VP we’ll be building on this foundation and be able to deliver images of the highest standard more quickly than ever before.’

The company had previously installed the imagePRESS C6000VP and C7000VP. The addition of the C10000VP will complement the existing solutions and enable it to better meet the needs of its customers and grow its retail and professional photographic business segments.

Wayne Barlow, director of professional print at Canon Business Imaging Group, said, ‘Latent Light is devoted to providing ever greater levels of quality and consistency at a competitive price. It needed an engine that met these requirements and the C10000VP is the perfect solution.’

Mr Gildersleeve added, ‘Not only do we have confidence in the image quality and reliability of Canon’s printers, but the fully automated solution changes the way we run our business. The new engine allows us to work in a far more efficient and productive way, without compromising on the quality we pride ourselves on.’
