The Impremia IS29

The Impremia IS29,  Komori’s sheetfed inkjet digital printing system, will arrive at the company’s Graphics Centre in Utrecht next month in preparation for a European open house.

After the open house in February 2016 the press will be available for individual customer demonstrations and print tests.

‘We strongly believe in the future of print and in the complementary nature of offset and digital technologies’, said Satoshi Mochida, president of Komori Corporation.

The company’s theme of ‘Open New pages’ aims to offer new business opportunities to its customers and to create richer print communications by connecting all printing processes.

The IS29 is a LED-UV based inkjet digital printing system offering high stability at 3000 sph and high quality with a resolution of 1200 dpi. The unit has a maximum sheet size of 585 x 750 mm and has the ability to handle a wide range of stock and sheet thicknesses from 0.06 to 0.6 mm in single-sided printing, it also allows the use of any kind of printing substrate without the need for pre-coated or certified paper.

The press features instant drying, duplex one-pass printing and the ability to immediately start post-press processes. The printer is designed to print large posters, paged items with multiple impositions and packaging that cannot be achieved with conventional A3 machines.
