New design sheet feeder Ibis SB-097 provides flexibility with Smart binders. The machine will allow sheets to also be fed from a sheet pile.
The new SB-097 feeder replaces the old design SB-096 sheet feeder on the side. It offers a significant advantage over the old SB-096 feeder in not requiring sheet direction change.
To run in-line, the lift table and bridge conveyor is raised to its highest position and then transports sheets from the upstream web cutter through the sheet feeder to the smart binder infeed.
When running offline, the lift table and bridge conveyor is lowered and sheets are loaded on top of the bridge conveyor. The feeder then feeds sheets off the top of the pile in to the smart binder at rates of up to 400 sheets per minute.
Changeover time between in-line and offline operations is reduced as a result of the new machine.
