Sooty and Sweep with the MTEX Blue direct-to-textile printer
Designer Orla Kiely has created a limited edition apron for Sport Relief to raise funds for the charity. The aprons were printed by CMYUK on the MTEX Blue direct-to-textile printer at the company’s demo suite in Shrewsbury.
CITV’s Sooty and Sweep, in collaboration with Michelle Heaton, have been promoting the aprons, and mini aprons, by taking part in a photo shoot for Sport Relief.
CMYUK director Robin East said, ‘The printing of the little aprons to match the larger ones was made possible by the revolutionary digital nature of the printer. The Sooty and Sweep aprons were printed directly on to the fabric, then heat-treated inline – a continuous two-step inline process of print and fix. We’re thrilled to have been able to help.’
