Humidity Solutions has launched the new Eiger unit which provides temperature and humidity control plus air filtration, air movement and fresh air from a single unit.
The unit enables temperature and humidity to be maintained at optimum conditions for digital printers to ensure that the room is kept in the quality zone needed for efficient machine speeds and to ensure print quality.
‘Effective humidity control is essential for all forms of printing and can be a particular challenge for digital print rooms,’ said sales director at Humidity Solutions, John Barker. ‘Humidity levels are naturally low at certain parts of the year but because of the heat output of digital printers, many printers install an air conditioner for cooling, which dries the air even more which increases the issues of low humidity unless it is properly managed. To add a humidifier greatly improves the humidity control within the studio but temperature and humidity are so closely linked that a solution where the components are controlled together provides the best and most efficient solution.
‘Rather than sourcing separate systems from different suppliers, the Eiger unit allows printers to protect their investment in digital print with one unit from a single, specialist supplier that understands the print industry. We believe this is the only unit of its kind in the market,’ he concluded.
