The ImpressionProof cloud
Mellow Colour (hall 7, stand C18 at drupa) will reveal its innovative moves in the colour critical print industry for 2016.
ImpressionProof cloud allows printers to share their print quality data with clients in real time so that they can check colour accuracy and file integrity. Clients are able to log into the printers print quality database to view jobs that have been recently printed for them using a web browser on their computer, tablet or smartphone.
Print buyers can check to see if their work is conforming to CMYK standards and if special colours are within previously agreed DeltaE tolerances. Advantages for brands include the time and expense spent on physical press passing and standardisation of the process for colour matching repeat or distributed print runs.
By offering the ImpressionProof service to clients, printers can offer a high value service that differentiates them from competitors and helps to build a culture of transparency and a commitment to quality in the supplier/client relationship.
‘This approach to print quality performance analysis, combined with fast and accurate identification of problem areas in the process is currently unique in the printing industry.’ said Alan Dresch, director at Mellow Colour. ‘We feel that the Mellow Colour approach has great potential to deliver tremendous efficiencies in the packaging and print supply chains of the future.’
