The HS roll cart assists continuous digital print operations of all shapes and sizes
Abingdon-on-Thames-based Howard Solutions aims to bring extra efficiency and enhanced ergonomics to digital print workflows with its lightweight reel liners and roll cart.
The range of HS reel liners is intended to prevent annoying ‘wrecks’ and misfeeds in continuous inserter/finishing lines, avert ‘memory’ curled sheets and, because 98% of each reel is used, reduce waste. Each polypropylene roll weighs 4 kg, thereby decreasing the risk of back strain for operators lifting part reels to rewind on.
The company’s 14 kg roll cart can handle roll sizes up to 1.3 m in diameter and 750 kg weight.
‘It’s so light it can be carried when empty, stacked to store and easily positioned ready for use,’ said Andrew James, sales director. ‘The HS roll cart is deceptively tough – giving years of service – and it makes a massive contribution to the bottom line by eliminating the damage and contamination caused when reels are rolled along the floor and, of course, it’s far safer work practice.’
