Managed print and digital document services company Apogee will be an official supplier to the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon, providing a fleet of print and document technology across multiple locations in the city.
The 2018 race, which takes place on Sunday 22 April, will be the third year in succession that London Marathon Events have chosen to rely on Apogee, who will produce the official race results for distribution to the world’s media.
Apogee specialist staff will be on site throughout the build-up week and the race weekend to help the organisers prepare and manage the event. A fleet of equipment will be delivered, installed and supported on-site, with Apogee engineers at every location to ensure the organisers have the resources they need for the event to run smoothly.
‘The team at Apogee provided an excellent service at this year’s [2017] Virgin Money London Marathon,’ said Hugh Brasher, event director. ‘The planning and attention to detail were excellent, the results books looked fantastic and the Apogee team went the “extra mile” to make sure everything went according to plan. We look forward to working with them again in 2018.’
‘All the Apogee team really enjoys working with London Marathon Events Limited and it’s such an exciting event to be part of,’ commented Gary Downey, group marketing director at Apogee. ‘There’s a great deal of planning, preparation and hard work that the team put in not just on race day but in the weeks beforehand and it’s very gratifying that the quality of support we provide is recognised. For major events like this it’s critical that the organisers can rely upon the infrastructure we provide.’
