Konica Minolta Business Solutions has installed two AccurioPress C12010 digital production presses at The Mailing People, taking the Portsmouth-based company’s total number of Konica Minolta systems to four.

The investment builds on an existing fleet comprising a mono AccurioPress 6272P and a colour AccurioPress C12000e, both installed last year. The Mailing People uses its print infrastructure to produce direct mail for a range of sectors, including charities, theatre, travel and tourism, utilities, and membership organisations, with an annual output exceeding 14 million items.

The company operates from a solar-powered print room and uses FSC certified paper as its standard substrate, reflecting an ongoing focus on sustainability alongside production efficiency, the company said.

The AccurioPress C12010 presses deliver print speeds of up to 120ppm and support a wide range of media types, including stocks up to 450gsm, embossed substrates, envelopes, polyester, and cut-sheet labels. They also accommodate long sheets of up to 1,300mm simplex or 900mm duplex, enabling greater application flexibility.

Konica Minolta highlights the environmental credentials of its AccurioPress range, which is certified to EPEAT Gold standards and incorporates recycled materials in its construction. The presses are designed to operate efficiently and support the use of recycled media, with Simitri V toner technology enabling lower fusing temperatures and reduced energy consumption.
