HP has unveiled a series of press and software developments at the Dscoop Edge Rockies conference, aimed at helping PSPs increase productivity, simplify operations and manage increasingly complex production environments.

The announcements include the launch of the HP Indigo 7K+ digital press, updates to HP PrintOS and Site Flow, the commercial availability of HP Nio, and a collaboration with AI-powered MIS provider GoMake.

According to Haim Levit, senior vice president and division president, HP Industrial Print, the company’s approach reflects changing expectations among print providers.

“As digital print scales to meet new demands, our customers are no longer buying presses alone. They’re investing in outcomes: predictable productivity and speed at scale,” he said. “At Dscoop Edge Rockies, we’re showing how our commitment to nonstop digital printing delivers those outcomes by connecting press innovation, intelligent workflows, and AI driven reliability across the entire production lifecycle.”

The new HP Indigo 7K+ digital press is built on the company’s 7X00 platform, which has more than 2200 installations worldwide. HP said the system has been designed to improve cost efficiency, versatility and operational simplicity for mid-range commercial print environments.

“Our nonstop digital printing journey continues at full speed. At Dscoop, we’re demonstrating once again that innovation at HP Indigo never stands still. With the introduction of the HP Indigo 7K+ Digital Press, we are strengthening our commitment to the commercial A3 market while accelerating momentum across commercial B2, labels, and flexible packaging,” said Noam Zilbershtain, VP & general manager, HP Indigo.

The press includes automation features and AI-driven tools designed to streamline manual processes, along with a new ECO Print Mode that uses thinner layers of ink to provide a lower-cost four-colour option for text-heavy or less image-sensitive applications.

HP also introduced the HP Indigo 120K Value Pack for existing HP Indigo 100K users. The upgrade package is designed to improve uptime, reliability, and workflow stability through hardware and software enhancements.

“Since installing the HP Indigo 120K Value Pack, we’ve seen increased productivity and a more stable, consistent workflow. After a short learning curve, our operators now prefer the new software. It’s intuitive, easy to navigate, and makes troubleshooting faster and more effective. Overall, the new Value Pack has significantly improved efficiency and operator confidence,” said Raul Lopez Jr., L&L operational director.

In labels and flexible packaging, HP marked the 100th installation of the HP Indigo 200K digital press, which the company said reflects continued demand for short-run and multi-SKU production.

The company also expanded its automation strategy through a collaboration with MoviĜo Robotics, introducing a portfolio of print-focused automated mobile robots designed to move pallets, carts, and other materials across production environments.

Adam Carnell, CEO of Bluetree Group, said: “MoviĜo has fundamentally transformed how movement works inside our factory. Instead of designing our processes around fixed constraints, we now have a solution that feels limitless and genuinely tailored to the needs of high-volume, high-mix print manufacturing.”

Alongside hardware developments, HP announced enhancements to its PrintOS and Site Flow workflow platforms and confirmed that HP Nio, its AI-powered production intelligence tool, is now commercially available.

“For years, our customers have told us that printing itself is no longer the challenge – it’s managing the complexity around it,” said Diana Pascual Soldevilla, general Manager, HP Industrial Print Software and Solutions. “Our focus is on human-centric intelligent automation, where AI augments people rather than replaces them.”

HP also announced a collaboration with GoMake, an AI-assisted quotation and production management platform designed to help PSPs optimise production planning, improve cost accuracy and respond to customer requests more quickly.
