Friedheim International has secured exclusive UK sales representation rights for Digibook Technology Sagl. The agreement expands its portfolio of digital and short-run bookmaking systems aimed on-demand and hybrid print environments.
The partnership strengthens Friedheim’s position in digital book binding and complements its existing finishing and post-press portfolio for commercial, digital, and litho printers across the UK and Ireland.
Digibook Technology’s range is designed for short-run and on-demand book manufacturers operating in digital and hybrid workflows. The systems are intended to allow printers to complete all stages of book production in-house, including perfect binding with endsheet and backlining, layflat binding for photo and children’s books, three-side trimming, case making, and casing-in.
According to Friedheim, the equipment is focused on automation and flexibility, enabling efficient production of on-demand quantities with simplified operation. The range is positioned between semi-automatic and fully industrial book production systems, offering an option for businesses looking to scale without investing in high-volume lines.
“We are thrilled to represent the Digibook range exclusively in the UK,” said Howard Cherry, national sales manager for finishing solutions at Friedheim International. “This partnership reinforces our commitment to equipping printers with best-in-class technologies that enable profitable short-run and book-on-demand production.”
The short-run book market continues to expand as printers diversify into digital on-demand publishing and niche applications. Digibook systems are designed to support operators without specialist binding experience, offering automated set-up and rapid changeovers to reduce downtime and waste, while maintaining binding quality comparable to traditional perfect binding.
“Digibook Technology offers advanced book finishing technology with the automation and flexibility today’s printers demand,” added Seth Morgan, marketing executive at Friedheim. “Together, we can help UK print businesses capture new markets by bringing premium book production in-house.”
Digibook machinery will be available for demonstration, sale, and installation through Friedheim’s UK sales and service network, with installation, training, and after-sales support provided by the company’s technical team.
