Nils Andreas Honscha has become a partner at SMS Sign Media Solutions GmbH, joining founder and managing director Daniel Slomka at the German large format print and visual communications specialist.
Mr Honscha was most recently managing director of Neschen Coating, and brings more than 25 years of experience in the large format printing and advertising technology sector. His previous roles include senior positions in product management, procurement, and strategic market development at organisations such as the Igepa Group.
At SMS Sign Media Solutions, Mr Honscha will focus on the strategic development of the company’s product portfolio, with an emphasis on application-led solutions, market relevance and sustainability. The appointment formalises a long-standing professional relationship between Mr Honscha and Mr Slomka, whose careers have run in parallel since the early days of digital large format printing.
Commenting on the move, Mr Honscha said he was looking forward to working closer to products and the market again. “The product range is the heart of a distributor – this is where I can apply my experience effectively,” he said.
Mr Slomka added that Mr Honscha’s product expertise and market knowledge would strengthen SMS’s solution-focused approach.
