Screen Europe has appointed Print Solutions as its new authorised dealer in Bulgaria, expanding access to Screen’s digital inkjet and computer-to-plate technologies in a market described as primed for sustained growth.
Based in Sofia, Print Solutions will represent Screen’s portfolio of digital solutions, including the Truepress Jet series for commercial and book printing, the Truepress Label range for label production, the Truepress Pac line for flexible packaging, and Screen’s established CTP systems. The appointment is intended to strengthen local sales, service and workflow support as Bulgarian printers adapt to changing production demands.
Founded in 2013, the family-owned company initially entered the market as a consumables supplier representing European ink manufacturers. In 2017, it expanded into technical services, establishing its own engineering team to support printing and finishing equipment across Bulgaria. That technical foundation was a key factor in the partnership with Screen.
“We’re excited to be working directly with Screen,” said Deyan Grudev, commercial director at Print Solutions. “We were already familiar and were impressed by Screen’s technology through supporting print finishing equipment, and now we’ll be able to fully support an entire digital printing workflow from print through finishing.”
According to Print Solutions, the Bulgarian printing sector is undergoing a period of transition. Consolidation has reduced the number of smaller print businesses, while many companies that have traditionally relied on offset are reassessing how they maintain productivity. At the same time, skilled offset operators are becoming harder to recruit and retain, increasing pressure on margins.
“These versatile and reliable printing solutions are a perfect fit for the Bulgarian printing market as it continues to undergo a rapid transformation,” commented Mr Grudev. He added that export-driven growth in areas such as commercial print, pharmaceuticals, labels and packaging is also pushing demand towards shorter runs and more frequent jobs, strengthening the case for digital inkjet alongside offset.
Print Solutions identified service and support as a critical differentiator in the market. “Screen’s digital inkjet systems have a strong global reputation for reliability, print quality, and long-term stability,” said Mr Grudev. “We knew that with the right technical support structure in place, these solutions would be an excellent fit for Bulgarian printers.”
The company plans to build a dedicated local team focused on installing, maintaining and optimising Screen systems, with an emphasis on long-term customer success and profitability.
