General Formulations has announced the appointment of Andrew Bishop as vice president of sales, strengthening its senior leadership team as the company continues to develop its global distribution network.

Based at the company’s headquarters in Sparta, Michigan, Mr Bishop will be responsible for leading sales strategy, customer engagement, and sales team development across General Formulations’ worldwide customer base. The role also includes responsibility for supporting growth through the company’s established network of distribution partners.

Mr Bishop joins General Formulations with more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning sales, marketing, strategy, and organisational development. Most recently, he served as president of RecogNation, a Baudville Brands company, where he led sales and customer experience initiatives, and worked with organisations on workplace recognition and engagement programmes.

Earlier in his career, Mr Bishop held the role of executive vice president and director of sales and marketing at Jarob, Inc., a custom fabricator and large-format digital printer specialising in wayfinding, décor, and signage. His time working within the graphics sector is cited as a key influence in his decision to return to the industry.

Mr Bishop’s connection with General Formulations dates back to that earlier period, through direct experience using the company’s materials. “I was always impressed with the quality of the materials and the organisation behind them,” he said. “General Formulations has an experienced and talented team, products that speak for themselves, and a service model that is truly second to none.”

Commenting on the appointment, Mike Clay, president of General Formulations, said: “Andrew brings extensive experience in the graphics industry and a proven track record of helping teams grow and succeed. We’re excited to have his energy and leadership as we continue to grow. This is an exciting step forward for our company, and I’m confident the future is bright with Andrew joining our team.”
