Kodak has introduced version 11.5 of its Prinergy software, bringing a series of improvements aimed at helping print businesses streamline production and strengthen workflow efficiency. The latest release focuses on enhanced automation tools, tighter integration with related software, and performance gains across several core functions.
Prinergy is designed to provide an end-to-end workflow environment that supports both analogue and digital printing processes. With version 11.5, Kodak has updated its Rules-Based Automation (RBA) capabilities, adding new automation actions and troubleshooting features intended to make it easier for users to refine and extend automated workflows.
The company has also improved integration between Prinergy and other Kodak applications. This includes closer alignment with Kodak Prinergy Preps Imposition Software and performance enhancements in Virtual Proofing Software Plus (VPS+), which is designed to support on-screen proofing. Updates to the Preflight+ software introduce new profile options, giving users more flexibility in managing file verification.
Further developments include strengthened integration with PrintLink, the module that generates JDF and PPF files for downstream systems such as press interfaces and cutting machines. According to Kodak, these refinements are intended to support smoother data exchange and more reliable device connectivity.
Version 11.5 also introduces a series of security and usability improvements, aimed at providing a more stable and consistent experience for operators handling complex workflows.
“The introduction of Kodak Prinergy Software version 11.5 demonstrates our commitment to keeping our workflow solution at the cutting edge of technology and innovation, empowering our customers to effectively adapt to changing market requirements,” said Jim Barnes, chief IT implementation officer at Kodak. “Prinergy 11.5 empowers printers to boost automation, productivity and system security, ultimately leading to increased efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.”
