Specialty finishing solutions provider Skandacor and Fujifilm North America’s Business Innovation Division have announced a new partnership aimed at enhancing capabilities in digital print and photo finishing.
The partnership brings together Fujifilm’s Revoria Press SC285S, a five-colour digital press, with Skandacor’s LAMpro Cheetah S15 Photo system, a lamination solution designed to improve the durability and presentation of printed materials. According to both companies, the combined technologies are intended to provide a print quality similar in appearance and longevity to traditional silver halide photography.
“This partnership supports our efforts to improve digital print finishing solutions,” said Brad Drever, managing director at Skandacor. “By integrating Fujifilm’s print technology with our laminates, we aim to help customers broaden their offerings and improve the quality of their finished products.”
Fujifilm’s Revoria Press SC285S features a compact design and supports five-colour printing, which can offer greater versatility in digital print applications. Skandacor’s laminates are designed to protect prints while also enhancing their visual quality.
Yuji Oki, general manager of Fujifilm North America’s Business Innovation Division, stated that the collaboration provides added value to the company’s existing digital printing solutions by introducing new finishing options.
