JPatton, the Georgia, US-based brand authentication and secure printing specialist, has installed an HP Indigo 6K Secure Press at its Duluth production site. The investment marks a significant step in the company’s drive to expand high-security and sustainable print services.

Founded in 1996, JPatton says the press enables it to embed multi-layer protection features – including microtext and additional security layers – in a single-pass workflow. The firm expects the upgrade to cut operational complexity, speed up turnaround times and reduce overall production costs while maintaining stringent product-integrity standards.

The investment is intended to address rising demand for authentication tools in regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, alcohol,l and tobacco. According to JPatton, the Indigo 6K’s print quality and colour consistency will support applications such as tax stamps and serialised product tracking in compliance-driven environments.

“Having spent years developing security tools for trading cards and global brands like Colgate, Keebler, Coors Brewing, and Microsoft, I understand how critical it is to offer flexible, high-performance solutions that protect both reputations and consumers,” said Pete Reyes, vice president and managing director at JPatton. “The HP Indigo 6K Secure Press is years ahead of the competition and is the perfect addition to our robust manufacturing facility.”

Raffael Kraus, HP Indigo labels sales director, commented: “We are proud to partner with JPatton as they scale their secure print capabilities. With the HP Indigo 6K Secure Press, they are delivering cutting-edge solutions to combat counterfeiting and protect brand value, while advancing the industry toward a more secure and sustainable future.”

JPatton added that the press installation supports its goal of achieving net-zero waste across operations by 2030, noting that the machine is designed to have a zero-carbon footprint. The company believes the technology upgrade will help it stay ahead of counterfeiters and market complexities while giving clients the tools to safeguard products and strengthen market presence.
