Pureprint Imprint has expanded its large format production capabilities with a Durst P5 350/HS hybrid printer at its Newcastle facility. The installation is part of a wider investment strategy targeting growth in the retail and out-of-home print markets.
The new machine can handle both roll-to-roll and direct-to-media flatbed applications, accommodating materials up to 3.5 metres wide. In high-speed mode, it offers output of up to 708sqm/hour and includes white ink functionality for premium applications.
This installation complements other recent equipment upgrades at the site, including a Durst P5 350/HSR D4 roll-to-roll printer, a second PlastGrommet All-in-One banner finishing system, and a Ribamatic Top30 roll slitter. Together, these investments have doubled Pureprint Imprint’s roll-to-roll capacity and enhanced turnaround times and quality for flat sheet jobs.
The move supports rising demand from Pureprint Imprint’s retail and brand clients, particularly in POS and outdoor campaign work, where speed, flexibility and quality are key.
“We’re excited to add the Durst P5 350 as part of our ongoing strategic investment in capacity, throughput, and quality,” said Dave Bullivant, managing director of Pureprint Imprint. “The new device allows us to be even more responsive to the needs of our large format and retail clients and follows the success of our first Durst roll-to-roll installation last year. It means Pureprint Imprint is on the front edge when it comes to both outstanding quality and productivity.”
Pureprint Imprint is the large format and retail division of Pureprint Group. The latest round of investments aligns with the group’s wider strategy to scale up its operations ahead of its 100th anniversary, including upgrades across its litho, digital, and packaging businesses, and the acquisition of Ashford Colour.
