Ultima Displays has strengthened its European production network with the installation of HP printers at facilities in the UK, Poland, and Italy. The trade-only display solutions company, part of the global P3 Group, has added an HP Latex R2000 and FS50W, as well as an HP Stitch S1000, to its fleet.
In the UK, Ultima Displays’ Corby site took delivery of an HP Latex R2000 in May following the 2025 Fespa Global Print Expo. Supplied and installed by HP partner Papergraphics, the printer can handle rigid boards up to 2.5m wide and uses water-based inks in high-capacity cartridges. The investment more than doubles the site’s rigid board print capacity, supporting faster turnaround times for retail and events work.
“The printer allows us to more than double our rigid board printing capacity, dramatically reducing lead times,” said Dave Bonehill, director of operations at Ultima Displays. “It aligns with our existing setup as most of our current machines are HP, enabling streamlined reporting, consistency in quality, and a unified user interface.”
Environmental factors were also important, with the R2000’s water-based inks and recyclable ink cartridges contributing to the company’s sustainability goals.
In Poland, the company has installed an HP Latex FS60W at its Gdansk facility. The printer supports media up to 3.2m wide and features high-opacity white ink, as well as 10-litre colour cartridges. Director of operations Piotr Brzoskowski said the FS60W was chosen for its print quality, environmental credentials and efficient production workflow. It complements the site’s existing HP Stitch S1000 and S500 dye-sublimation printers.
Meanwhile, Ultima Displays Italy has purchased a second HP Stitch S1000 following a deal signed at HP’s DemoDay in Barcelona. The machine offers production speeds up to 220sq m/hr.
The HP investments are part of a Europe-wide expansion program, with the company looking at further investments at its facilities around the world.
