Innovia Films has expanded its range of graphic substrates with the launch of Rayoart GWP82 Matt HOP. The substrate is a high-opacity BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) base film aimed at premium self-adhesive applications. The 82 micron film features a matt coating for a glare-free finish, improved scratch and chemical resistance, and is designed to offer a more sustainable alternative to traditional PVC-based products.

According to Bron Hekkema, business unit director graphics at Innovia, the new product offers a combination of visual appeal and practical benefits. “This new film has been designed for maximum visual impact,” he said. “The matt finish gives a premium, glare-free look whilst giving excellent dimensional stability for easy conversion and better UV and latex printing.”

Rayoart GWP82 Matt HOP also aims to address performance needs across diverse applications. “The enhanced adhesion anchorage ensures high-performance application on various surfaces and the optimised adhesive receptive layer provides a strong, durable bonding with improved pigmented adhesive compatibility,” added Pieter du Plessis, market development manager graphics, at Innovia.

Developed with sustainability in mind, the film is free from plasticisers and chlorides, aligning with increasing demand for PVC-free materials in the graphics industry. The film supports indoor durability up to 10 years and up to four years outdoors when laminated, offering a long-lasting option for wall and advertising graphics.

The launch underscores Innovia’s continued commitment to delivering lower-impact materials while maintaining performance standards required by graphics professionals.
