Scuderia Ferrari and HP have collaborated on a new livery for the iconic cars at the Miami Grand Prix.

At the heart of this special-edition livery is a co-engineered film developed jointly by HP’s print engineers in Barcelona and Ferrari’s design and materials teams in Maranello. Using HP’s latest generation latex printing technology, the wrap material is 14% lighter and 17% thinner than its predecessors. It also offers enhanced thermal resistance, crucial for withstanding the intense heat generated in a Formula 1 race environment.

The new film is PVC-free and fully recyclable, marking a step toward greater sustainability in an industry not typically associated with environmental consciousness, stated HP. This development positions the Ferrari-HP partnership not only at the forefront of design but also as a model for more eco-conscious engineering in high-performance motorsports, HP added.

The wrap was applied using HP’s print systems, which the company says showcases its ability to merge form, function, and environmental responsibility. HP’s white and blue now accent Ferrari’s traditional rosso corsa.

“This livery is far more than a design statement – it’s a demonstration of innovation in action,” said Enrique Lores, HP’s president and CEO. “Together with Ferrari, we’re redefining what’s possible with materials and print technology on one of the world’s fastest platforms.”

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna echoed the sentiment, noting how the collaboration extends far beyond aesthetics. “Thanks to HP’s cutting-edge devices and technologies – from laptops to printers – we’ve been able to transform how we work, both at Maranello and trackside,” Mr Vigna said. “This new wrap is a symbol of how far we’ve come in one year of collaboration, and a glimpse of what’s ahead.”
