Sheffield digital print company Pinders has completed a £4 million city centre redevelopment project to accommodate its equipment.
The project has doubled its commercial space by turning an under-utilised area behind the existing base on Moore Street into what it calls ‘a state of the art print works.’
The new development features 21 m2 of printing space, plus underground car parking.
David Whiteway, managing director of Pinders, said: ‘The development into Sheffield through this infrastructure and machinery further establishes Pinders as one of the region’s largest, most innovative and progressive digital printers.
‘Our capabilities and machines put us not only ahead of local competition, but in the top echelon of national printers and offer Pinders’ customers impressive solutions to their creative ideas both for one-offs and volume work.
‘As well as consolidating our operation we have substantially boosted our print capacity and increased the scope for more creative, specially commissioned work which in turn increases our potential customer base.’
The development will house Pinders’ HP Indigo, Vutek and Xerox presses.
Pinders can supply case and book making, CD, DVD and Blu-Ray publishing, white ink capability, printing on coated and uncoated stock, print finishing and superwide print. It also offers mailing and overwrapping, bespoke framing services, personalised giftware, signage and display and mobile media applications.
Mr Whiteway added: ‘Our development takes the company to the next level. This company is not about just printing business cards but encompasses everything from sign and display to web to print solutions, corporate to personal – all at business quality print.’
The company celebrates its 75th anniversary next year. It showed off its new print works at a grand opening on 7 and 8 November.
