As part of its on-going £20 million spend, Buxton Press has purchased an additional perfect binding line, taking its total up to three auto-binding lines.

Investing for the first time in Kolbus equipment, the newly installed binding line consists of a perfect binder, gatherer and trimmer with linking conveyor system.

Kirk Galloway, managing director explained, ‘Buxton operates in the highly competitive UK sheet-fed magazine printing sector and it is imperative we have the right kit to help us meet the needs of our publishing clients.  It is also imperative we run to maximum efficiencies at all times and after careful consideration we concluded the Kolbus KM600 ticked all the boxes, delivering a cost-effective solution for our current workflow requirements.’

The Kolbus KM600 perfect binder was specified but uprated to 8000 copies per hour in order to fully utilise the output speed of the rest of the Kolbus installation: a ZU822 gatherer and HD153 trimmer.
