Informal and educational ‘How to’ demonstrations focussed on creative printing will be held by Fujifilm UK over three days, 22 – 24 September, at its headquarters in Bedford.

Workshops will showcase applications that printers may not have thought of for their businesses, and provide fresh ideas on how to generate new revenue streams from printing.

‘There are so many opportunities available to printers to create new revenue streams using technologies they know, but in a slightly different way. We want to highlight some of these possibilities, encourage the in-house creativity that printers already have, and show them how they can bring this together to generate more business. We will be showcasing a wide range of applications including creative value-added printing, prototype packaging and mock-ups, thermoforming, interior design, photobooks and photo gifts, among others,’ commented Keith Dalton, managing director.

The latest digital inkjet and toner-based technologies are at the heart of the workshops, in combination with Fujifilm workflow and web to print systems. The demonstrations across all of the applications will be running throughout each of the days. ‘With a little bit of education, printers can adapt their business models to incorporate applications they may not have even considered,’ added Mr Dalton. ‘We have the tools and knowledge to help them do this.’

Products used to highlight the applications will include Fujifilm’s Acuity LED 1600, Acuity Advance, Jet Press 720S, XMF Workflow and Xerox Versant 2100, as well as a range of finishing solutions.
