Leicester-based NuBox has described the results of its investment ina CCM Premier 115 guillotine from TCS as ‘phenomenal’ after experiencing a 30% increase in productivity.
The manufacturer of rigid cardboard boxes, storage boxes, presentation boxes and packaging, first invested in a guillotine supplied by TCS when it opened its doors 14 years ago.
Jig Battu, managing director, explains, ‘We bought a guillotine from TCS when we set up the business and it has served us well. When it started to get old we looked around for a replacement. We reviewed Perfectas and Schneiders but chose the CCM Premier 115 because we liked the way it ran. It is easy and fast to set up and produces a great finish.’
‘The impact made on the business was immediate’ said Mr Battu, ‘It is phenomenal. The quality is great and the productivity has increased by as much as 30%.’
Mr Battu continued, ‘And it is so easy to set up and run that our staff can jump on and off it with jobs and then move on to something else. We have greatly increased our throughput and can now complete much more work than we used to.’
