The agreement at Wirralco to update its web and print capabilities

Change has been implemented at Wirralco with the upgrade of its PDF and print capabilities.

Director Dennis Graham said, ‘We talk to our clients a lot and they tell us they want fast turnaround jobs of high quality at the right price. We’re always looking to do things better and around the turn of the year we were introduced to Colour Engine on the recommendation of a trusted partner in the industry.

‘We realised we needed to improve efficiencies at the front end with files coming in from all over the country, some of which we were fixing manually to ensure there were no issues on press, this was costing us a huge amount of time and effort.’

‘As a business we’ve managed to get better quality by reducing ink TAC and the CMY separations whilst intelligently boosting the black plate. It’s simple; Colour Engine dial in the TAC level required into each queue, we select the level of ink savings we need and the software just does it. Using an appropriate level of GCR we have achieved ink savings of 10% with the potential of still further savings to come.’

Mr Graham concluded, ‘As a trade printer we have to be on our game all the time with dozens of jobs being produced every day and we have to differentiate our business in the market by offering great service to our trade clients with the personal touch.’
