The MGI Meteor DP8700 XL+ press

Printers Superstore’s Leeds headquarters will host an open house on 17 February, showcasing the MGI Meteor DP8700 XL+ digital press, fitted with the inline DF Pro finishing module which cuts, creases and perforates inline.

The company became the showroom for MGI digital presses in September 2015. MGI and Printers Superstore have been working together since Printers Superstore became an authorised reseller of MGI machines in 2013.

Printers Superstore’s managing director Graham Moorby said, ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for printers to see a unique machine in action. The MGI Meteor offers something different which can open up new markets; for instance, it will print on a long format at 330 x 1200 mm and on a huge range of substrates including offset stocks and plastics. MGI machines offer high quality and high throughput at 4260 four colour A4 pages per hour and offer all the benefits of digital including variable data, but with no click charge.’

‘We see our high quality, sensibly priced offset machines from Hans Gronhi and Shinohara as the future of offset printing and the versatile MGI product as the future of digital, with the two technologies working together,’ said Mr Moorby. Visitors can also see a Hans Gronhi HG525 five colour B3 press at the open house event.
