Pantone is extending the remit of its cloud-based colour communication platform PantoneLive to enable users to incorporate their own colour specifications that are not defined by a Pantone colour reference.
‘We didn’t introduce PantoneLive into a vacuum, converters have existing colour specifications themselves that may today be held disparately online, within silos at each production site and even locked away in filing cabinets,’ said PantoneLive vice president Adrian Fernandez. ‘PantoneLive Private Cloud provides our customers the ability to incorporate those specifications into a common framework alongside Pantone references. We understand that there are some colours that are not defined by Pantone that converters and brand owners need to have incorporated.’
