The Watkiss PowerSquare 160 booklet maker with dual sheet feeders

Watkiss Automation is showing an expanded range of booklet making solutions at drupa 2016 on stand 6/C41, with a new addition to the Watkiss PowerSquare range.

At drupa, the company will show an expanded range of booklet making solutions, with a new addition to the Watkiss PowerSquare range. ‘The PowerSquare is a proven, high-end and extremely capable booklet maker. It uses our patented fold-and-form technology to produce the square spine at the same time as folding – which results in a sharper, better quality finish,’ explained sales director Paul Attew. ‘With our new PowerSquare 160, we can make this technology available to a much wider range of customers; and connect to a wider range of digital print engines.’

Featuring JDF/JMF compatibility, the PowerSquare 160 will be available as inline and offline solutions. The modular system can include up to three suction-fed sheet feeders and, in inline configurations, features dual-mode functionality for flexible workflows. To meet the ever increasing demand for short-run hand-fed booklet making, the company are showing the BookMaster Pro 30 which produces booklets up to 120 pages long. It features an android based touch-screen user interface to reduce and simplify make ready time and an increased stapling capacity.

Watkiss can be found in Hall 6, on stand 6/C41.  The Watkiss PowerSquare 224 can also be seen online to printers on the Canon (Hall 8a), Konica Minolta (Hall 8b) and Ricoh (Hall 8a) stands.
