Canon is broadening the range of inline finishing solutions it can deliver to production print customers through a new partnership with Swedish finishing solutions provider Plockmatic Group. The collaboration will enhance Canon Europe’s ability to support PSPs to develop a wider portfolio of high quality fully-finished products.
The partnership covers two Plockmatic devices – the BLM 50 and BLM 35 production booklet makers – enabling Canon customers to produce stapled or square-fold booklets of up to 200 and 140 pages respectively, at rated engine speeds. Both models can handle coated, uncoated and textured stocks up to 350 gsm.
The first public presentation of Canon Europe and Plockmatic equipment in an end-to-end production solution will be on the Canon stand at drupa (Hall 8a, Stand B50), where the Canon imagePRESS C800 colour light production press will be demonstrated inline to a Plockmatic BLM50 delivering eye-catching booklets that showcase the company’s innovative finishing technology and the high quality printed output of the Canon imagePRESS C800.
