Cimpress, Colordruck Baiersbronn, Imagine! and Elanders are a few of the companies which will beta test Landa’s latest machinery.
Leader in mass customisation, Cimpress, will beta test the Landa S10P nanographic printing press. Upon successful completion of the beta testing, the company will purchase up to 20 Landa presses for deployment worldwide. Cimpress’ automated computer integrated manufacturing facilities expects to employ the Landa S10P B1 (41 inch) perfecting presses in order to move mainstream jobs from offset to digital printing.
Colordruck Baiersbronn is the first customer in Europe to purchase the Landa S10 nanographic printing press. ‘We chose the press because we believe that Landa nanography will be the future of print and the future growth driver for Colordruck Baiersbronn,’ said Frank Buesching, managing director. ‘In the last few years, our average run lengths have decreased substantially. As economic pressures make themselves felt, brands of all sizes are actively looking to reduce costs, and ideally, print only when they need it.’
Imagine!, provider of large scale point of sale displays and in-store signage for North America, will beta test the Landa S10 for folding carton and POP/POS applications. The press will be installed at the company’s facility in Minneapolis and will be predominantly used for POP/POS display work in order to take full advantage of the press’ format size, speed and high print quality.
Elanders will become the beta testing site for the Landa S10P nanographic printing press for general commercial printing. The press will be used to produce advertising pieces, direct mail and magazines. ‘It will let our customers more quickly meet market opportunities for high quality, double sided printed items, with or without personalisation,’ said Peter Sommer, executive vice president, CEO Elanders Europe. ‘The Landa S10P perfectly complements our existing digital and analogue technologies and will unlock considerable new business growth.’
Mansfield-based packaging specialist, Reflex, has become the first company to sign for a Landa W10 nanographic printing press at drupa. Will Parker, Reflex, said, ‘We were the first business to sign an LOI for a Landa press in 2012 for its W5, and four years on, I was here first thing on day one of drupa to become a paid-up customer for the W10.’
