(L-R) Alan Rigglesford, Clicks Print MD and Rob Long, owner and group managing director of Kingswood iOptus

London-based digital printer Clicks Print has gone into administration, with former MD, Alan Rigglesford transferring to Kingswood iOptus.

‘I’ve been a huge admirer of Alan and his work in the industry over many years,’ said Rob Long, owner and group managing director of Kingswood iOptus. ‘It is hard to legislate for the misfortune of his former company and it was certainly not through lack of effort and endeavour from him and his team that saw the company go into administration. We are all aware of the difficulties within the current marketplace is having on print companies especially in London, with rising costs and the threat of online competition but Alan and I share the belief that there is a future for a premium service provider where location is still essential.

‘I believe the launch Kingswood Display, our new large format Swanley site in addition to the EC2 base was a major factor in Alan’s decision to join us,’ Mr Long continued. ‘I am aware that his services were sought after by many of our competitors and feel privileged that he saw the potential in Kingswood as an ideal challenge to help us continue the growth over the last five years. His knowledge and unselfish input into digital graphic arts is unrivalled in my opinion and I am looking forward to him steering our company in the future. It is a fantastic appointment for Kingswood and one that will hopefully see us establish ourselves in the global large format sector and also cement our foundation as one of the premier small format digital service providers in the City of London.’
