Soyang Europe has expanded its investment in its partnership with Platinum Technologies LIYU by developing a dedicated showroom and strengthening its technical support capabilities.
The move follows Soyang’s recent appointment as the Great Britain distributor for the Platinum Technologies LIYU portfolio and is intended to provide customers with improved access to demonstrations, application advice and after-sales support.
Located at the company’s Accrington headquarters, the new showroom has been designed to showcase the manufacturer’s technology in a dedicated demonstration environment. Modelled on Platinum Technologies LIYU’s European Demo Centre in Düsseldorf, the facility will allow visitors to view printed samples and see a range of wide-format printing systems in operation.
Among the machines on display will be the Platinum Technologies Signature Hybrid, launched at FESPA Global Print Expo in Barcelona. The hybrid printer offers production speeds of up to 350sq m/hr in high productivity mode and prints at up to 2400dpi using CMYK, light cyan, light magenta, white and neon inks.
The showroom will also feature the Platinum KCXL+ flatbed UV printer, which offers production speeds of up to 400sqm/hr, a maximum print resolution of 2400dpi and can print on media up to 100mm thick. Completing the line-up is the Platinum PCT LED roll-to-roll printer, capable of printing on media up to 3.2m wide at speeds of up to 120sq m/hr for applications including signage, textiles, promotional graphics and interior décor.
Alongside the investment in customer facilities, Soyang has expanded its engineering expertise. Members of the technical team recently completed training in Germany with LIYU specialists to develop their knowledge of the latest systems and technologies.
According to Soyang, the enhanced expertise will strengthen its installation, servicing and after-sales support, while also enabling engineers to provide customer training, application advice and colour profiling services.
