EyeC has launched Proofiler Graphic Connect, a cloud-based prepress inspection software package designed to automate PDF-to-PDF comparisons within prepress workflows.
Available as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution, the platform is intended for use in graphic arts and packaging production environments. It compares print-ready and step-and-repeat files against approved reference files, helping prepress teams identify deviations before production.
The software checks graphic content, barcodes and Braille in client, print and imposition PDFs, with the aim of reducing manual inspection work and speeding up approval processes. As a browser-based platform, it does not require local installation or maintenance and can be accessed independently of specific hardware or operating systems.
Proofiler Graphic Connect can be integrated into workflow systems including HYBRID Software Cloudflow and Esko Automation Engine through a REST API interface. Inspection jobs can be initiated directly from within existing workflows, with results and detected deviations automatically returned to the workflow system for review.
Where user intervention is required, the software directs users to the relevant section for assessment and approval before the workflow continues. Inspection results, deviations and approval decisions are recorded within the workflow system, providing a digital audit trail for quality control processes.
Users can also access the Proofiler Graphic Connect interface directly to review inspection results in greater detail when required.
“With Proofiler Graphic Connect, we’re integrating prepress quality control directly into modern production workflows,” said Michael Körper, product manager at EyeC. “Companies can coordinate their inspection processes across multiple locations, speed up approvals, and manage quality requirements transparently. This creates an efficient workflow that reduces manual effort and ensures reliable results across teams and systems.”
