General Formulations has appointed Adam Weber as regional sales manager for Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama, as the pressure-sensitive media, film and laminates manufacturer looks to strengthen its presence in the US Southeast.

Weber joins the company with more than a decade of experience in the labelling and print sector, spanning both production and sales. He began his career in 2013 on the production floor, working with urethane doming and durable decals before operating screen-printing equipment including Sakurai and clamshell presses.

He later moved into a production management role, where he developed broader experience across print processes, materials and end-use applications, before switching to sales in 2021.

Since then, Mr Weber has worked across a range of label technologies, including durable and pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves, in-mould labels and thermoforming labels. More recently, his work has focused on PVC-free face films supplied to adhesive coaters and manufacturers.

According to General Formulations, that mix of production and commercial experience will support customers looking for guidance on pressure-sensitive graphic solutions. The company also noted Mr Weber’s familiarity with its products, having previously run several GF materials on wide-format print platforms including Roland and Mimaki systems during his time in production management.

“I couldn’t be more excited to join the General Formulations team,” said Mr Weber. “The company has an outstanding reputation in the industry. I’m looking forward to working closely with customers and partners in the region to deliver the high-quality solutions and support GF is known for.”

The appointment forms part of General Formulations’ wider investment in its sales operation, as the company continues to expand its footprint and customer support capabilities.

Andrew Bishop, vice president of sales at General Formulations, said: “Adam’s blend of production knowledge and sales experience makes him a great addition to our team. His understanding of materials and printing processes will help our customers succeed, and we’re excited to have him represent GF as we continue to grow our presence in the Southeast.”
