HP Indigo has signed a multi-year agreement with Shutterfly that will see the US personalised products company deploy 35 HP Indigo 120K digital presses as part of a major fleet upgrade.

Teams from HP and Shutterfly celebrate the announcement
Announced at HP Imagine 2026 on 24 March, the deal marks a significant expansion of a relationship that the companies say stretches back 25 years, to 2001, when Shutterfly installed its first HP Indigo press. Under the new agreement, Shutterfly will upgrade its entire fleet of HP Indigo B2 digital presses to the HP Indigo 120K platform, with the first phase of installations due to begin in 2026.
HP said the agreement reflects the continued move towards high-volume digital print production supported by automation, data, and workflow tools, as well as press performance.
The HP Indigo 120K is positioned by the manufacturer as its flagship B2 platform for industrial-scale production. According to HP, the press combines on-press automation, predictive diagnostics and intelligent quality management to improve uptime, consistency, and throughput in 24/7 environments.
Oran Sokol, head of global sales at HP Industrial Print, said: “This agreement reflects the depth of our long-standing relationship with Shutterfly. Shutterfly has consistently understood what it takes to lead in personalized, high-volume production and HP Indigo technology provided the foundation to make that possible. This latest milestone is one of the most significant long-term, fleet-wide investments in digital production, and it reflects how we continue to build and advance the industry together.”
Dwayne Black, chief operations officer at Shutterfly, added: “This decision is about positioning Shutterfly for the next phase of growth. For 25 years, HP Indigo has been a trusted collaborator as we scaled personalization and innovation across our operations. Upgrading our entire fleet will drive meaningful efficiencies and quality in our peak season, and more broadly reflects our confidence in the technology, the collaboration, and the long-term opportunities ahead as digital production continues to evolve.”
In addition to the presses themselves, the agreement also covers consumables, services and software, including access to HP PrintOS, workflow automation, and data-driven production tools.
Noam Zilbershtain, vice president and general manager of HP Indigo, said: “Shutterfly’s expansion is an endorsement of what we’ve built together over the years, it is not just an investment in new presses, it is an investment in a new operating model. With the HP Indigo 120K, we are helping customers move beyond proven technology toward intelligent, always on production. This agreement reinforces HP Indigo’s number one position in industrial digital print, and demonstrates how we continue to lead the transformation of the industry.”
