Apex Digital Graphics founders Bob Usher and Terry Bratt have retired, winding up the company and transfering the Cron and Ryobi business to new distributors.

Bob Usher, former managing director of Apex released the following statement:

‘Terry Bratt and I have been at the helm of Apex for nearly 30 years and for 50 years we have both been in the printing equipment supply industry. We have made the decision to retire, with effect from 4 July 2018, and from this date our business will be split and transferred into two separate companies.

‘Our Ryobi press business will be taken over by MPartners (MPL), based in Godstone, Surrey, who are the Ryobi Mitsubishi Graphic Technology (RMGT) dealer for the former Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) presses in the B1 and VLF sector.

‘Under the new dealership all Apex Ryobi technical support staff and spare parts will be transferred to MPL. Furthermore, as part of this agreement, MPL will honour all warranties made by Apex.

‘The CtP element of our business will transfer to independent consumable dealership,  SOS, based in Laughton, Essex.

‘All Apex CtP technical support staff, plates/chemistry consumables and parts will be transferred to SOS and all warranties made by Apex for Cron and DPX2 devices will be honoured by SOS.

‘Terry and I would like to thank all of our customers and friends for their business and support over the past 30 years, as we plan the next chapter of our lives in retirement.’
