The Versafire EV (Value) will be shown working in tandem with the Prinect Digital Front End

On Wednesday 12 September Heidelberg will be running a Digital Performance open house to provide the first UK demonstration of the new Versafire EP and Versafire EV digital presses.

Both the EP (Performance) and EV (Value) versions will work in tandem with the Prinect Digital Front End. Heidelberg will also demonstrate the latest B2 litho press, the Speedmaster CX 75, which will allow visitors to see how litho and digital can be used in tandem.

‘You don’t want a matt look off your litho press and a shiny look off your digital press. The digital press needs to emulate the litho profile and it can using the Prinect DFE colour management,’ explained Chris Matthews, digital equipment business manager.

Presentations will be given by Mr Matthews and demonstrator Cliff Coghlan of Heidelberg UK. Ricoh UK’s Andy Campbell will also make a presentation on the potential commercial opportunities using the fifth colour on the Versafire EV.

Morgana, Magic Touch, and Vivid Laminators will also be present.

Opening times will be 10am to 4.30pm and there will be refreshments and a lunch provided for visitors.
